NP Rank:
High Fructose Corn Syrup is… Good for You?
All we managed to glean from the commercials is that not consuming high fructose corn syrup makes you rude. In the first one, one mom walks up to another (who is pouring some sort of pink liquid from a jug) and says, "Wow, you don't care what the kids eat, huh?" What a jerk.

Haha, I love it..."Like sugar, it's fine in moderation." That's the most positive point they could come up with?

Taken near Broad Street in downtown Richmond, Virginia [USA], this antique, light-up Coca-Cola® sign was recently refurbished. Hardly an instant success when it came to market in the late 1800s, "Coke" has grown into the flagship of the soft-drink industry and the keystone in one of the world's largest conglomerates.
It is also certified Kosher.

I'm a begginer photographer and I've always loved Coca-Cola, so I started to make a little collection of some different Coca-Cola products and, as consequence, I take pictures of them all the time!

I was taking a walk when suddenly I saw a sad bottle of soft drink thrown on the floor. I felt depress with this imagen. It was like a mirror in which you could see all the bad things humanity have done. People get fat on one site and people die on the other site. It´s a so harmful photo

It seems a little ironic that many of the health problems in America, such as problems related to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and many more all saw a dramatic increase along with the increase in the popularity of processed foods. One of the main ingredients in many of these foods is High Fructose Corn Syrup. They say it is natural and there is nothing to worry about, what they don't tell you is how it is derived from corn, nor how that corn is grown.
One only needs look at the way corn is conventionally grown to see there may be a problem. Most corn (millions of acres worth) is grown with heavy use of petroleum based fertilizers (nitrogen mainly) and chemical pesticides. Is there any possibility that the corn absorbs some of these chemicals when it is growing? Let's say it does absorb some, just for the sake fun of it. Does it then stand to reason that when you concentrate the corn into something like High Fructose Corn Syrup that it would a bit unhealthy?
I'm not saying that corn is bad, after all it is just a grass. I'm saying that the processing of food and adding preservatives is an unnatural occurrence that has unintended consequences on the human body.
The way to counteract the health problems is actually pretty easy. Eat locally, and what is in season. It means we have to adjust our diets and eat seasonal foods but the health benefits and economic benefits are more than worth it. Plus fresh food simply tastes better.

I tell people this all the time
High Fructose Corn Syrup is THE DEVIL!
More fattening than sugar! AND they put tons of it in low or "fat free" food to make it taste better, so fat free foods actually make you fatter than regular food!
Just eat food without labels and you will be healthy - cheese, fruit, veggies, meat if you choose - no HFCS!

This commercial is horrible!!!! "Fine in moderation"....the whole problem is that HFCS is in so much of the food/drink that the average American consumes!
