Homelite Backpack Blowers Subject of Recall - Fire Hazard

Homelite Backpack Blowers are subject of a recall action in the U.S. due to possible fire hazard.  These machines are fueled by gasoline which may leak from the tank.  Description of the recalled products follows.


This recall involves the Homelite Mighty Lite backpack blowers. The blowers are red and black. The following models are affected by this recall:

Hazard:  The gas tank which is strapped to the user's back may leak gasoline, posing a fire hazard.  To date reports of leakage and some skin irritation have been received.  No serious injuries have yet to be reported.

Fix:  Stop using the Homelite Backpack Blower and contact the store where you bought it to arrange for a gas tank replacement.  This product was sold at various stores across the U.S. including Home Depot stores.
