Horses have been left to suffer by the banks of Har-Ki-Pairi in one of the most sacred places to Hindus on earth - at Haridwar, India.  Overgrown hoofs have left the horses limping or having fallen over, unable to move, suffering in great pain.  Today I tried to rescue the horse that cannot get up.  Cleaned its legs up so the flies would disappear.  Urgently contacted PETA who put me in touch with a vet.  The vet has unfortunately and sadly advised, that the horse is so far gone in its suffering that it is too late to help it.  They will euthanize it in the morning. Ironic that the Ganges is right there.  Even worse was seeing so many people wandering about, bored, doing nothing, that could have helped this horse long ago.
