Be well and do good; or
Be good and do well.
This summarized the difference between sincere practicioners of American liberalism and American conservatism .
The serious conservatives want to (or claim to want to) follow a strong religious ethical code and to make lots of money. They want to be good, and they want to do well.
The serious liberals are into health and want to do good in the world. They want to be well, and they want to do good.
Which of the above two you pick, is a strong determinator of whether you are a liberal or a conservative.

I saw these definitions on another web page and found them amusing. On www.culturefeast.com/take-the-test-are-you-liberal-or-conservative/A test determined me to beSocial Issues: 75% Conservative, 25% Liberal Personal Responsibility: 25% Conservative, 75% Liberal Fiscal Issues: 100% Conservative, 0% Liberal Ethics: 75% Conservative, 25% Liberal Defense and Crime: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal Is that right? Are there that many facets of a liberal or conservative? Maybe. Maybe there are more. However, a simplistic Conservatives want to make money and the good/well distinctions are amusing at best. I'm retired but was in the mental health field 30+ years. I wanted to help people function better but lots of money was not a motivator. As a member of Mensa (for awhile I just joined to see if I could) who utilized Cognitive Behavioral therapy, a Reiki Master, a practitioner of two styles of qigong focused on projecting healing energy, a meditator of 40+ years who has been and will continue to be a follower of teachings labeled Advaita Vedanta, I have a code I follow but I'm not sure it's a "strong religious ethical code."
