How San Francisco Really Treats Its Homeless - Police & DPW Assault Them

These photos and video clips look like something out of a Nazi Concentration Camp.

Bright lights, physical kicking and water canons used against people who are suffering and in need of a safe place to live.

These are violations of Human Rights and our Constitutional Rights To Life and violates California State Law.

These are Hate Crimes and Assaults being made a de facto City Policy being disguised as city workers 'just doing their job...'

Part of this story is the opinion of our people, based on watching the video (which is factual evidence) and by our own eyewitness accounts (such as seeing the fireman from the Post Street Station, using intimidation and force against a homeless man down a couple months ago) of all kinds of city workers abusing residents on a routine basis.

We have lots of good city workers and police here, but the ones in this video and the ones we have seen personally act like brutal, fascist nazis,  who beat and harass people without any signs of compassion or remorse.

Who hires these Nazi-like City Workers ?

Which one of their bosses sanction and order this type of illegal assaults against the weakest members of our community ?

Do these orders come straight from the Mayor's Office ?

THE ENTIRE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW.

That top photo is terrible - I thought it was a Halloween costume at first.

You at least need an opinion flag on this however, as a phrase like 'Nazi City Workers' could be very offensive to some people and our readers need to know this is your own opinion on the matter.

We see your point.   When we see people using bright lights and water canons,  it conjures up images of concentration camps.

We edited the story to make it clearer that part of the story is opinion and changed the nazi wording a bit,  but that word describes very well the tactics and bad conduct being used.

Hopefully, that word only offends those who are nazis.  Which had nothing to do with being german.  It is a word used to describe people who have a supremacist mentality,  which is what we see when you have bad police officers and bad city workers who seem to have no problem abusing residents who are only guilty of being tired and hungry.

Thank you for your comments.  They are appreciated.

my heart aches for the ignorance to the plight of the homeless.  They dont go away because we ignore them.  I work daily with trying to restore the lives of broken human beings that  have no place to go and desperately need a helping hand. This saddens me and sickens me at the same time.

It's a terrible cycle.   Bad leadership in government and corporations set the stage for millions of good people in this country and others to take a huge fall which involves outsourcing their jobs, driving down their wages, breaking up unions, moving everyone from land and farms to boxes (condos, apartments, small houses with cheap construction and Single Room Ocupancy Units) while they PROFIT by using force, intimidation and assault, under color of authority to BEAT DOWN the people and families that were just screwed out of their jobs, lives and homes by the SAME ABUSIVE AND GREEDY ELITE who now prey on them as they try to SLEEP ANYWHERE because MAYOR NEWSOM took away their shelter beds and drop in centers and mental health services.

MAYOR GAVIN ADOLF NEWSOM FOR GOVERNOR.

If it's true that Mayor Newsom or His Staff (who we note, have been coming out of City Hall almost every day to yell at, scream and harass other homeless who are trying to nap in peace in the traditionally used by people grass areas in front of City Hall.   We're waiting on photos of this asshole.  He actually comes out from Gavin's office and gets right into the face of the mentally ill in front of City Hall. ).

We need more videos of people making good money who think it's OK to commit crimes against people who have done NOTHING WRONG TO ANYONE.

The People of San Francisco hate these kinds of Mayors.  Can you imagine if Newsom becomes Governor ?    If he uses fascist tactics against the poor here,  using the SFPD and DPW workers as 'tools' to please the out of town and new business community here (who blame the homeless, instead of the rowdy tourists and the bad economy and lack of leadership in Washington, as excuses to kick the homeless around) will Newom use the National Guard like in Kent State against anyone who threatens corrupt business interests ?

If you have not been paying attention, most of
America has criminalized homelessness.  It all
really started after after the formation of
"Homeland Security".

The National Coalition For The Homeless
has reports on this, naming "the meanest cities", titled
" A Dream Denied; The Criminalization of Homelessness in U.S. Cities

And another report titled,
"Hate Crimes and Violence Against People Experiencing Homelessness" .

Do ya feel any safer now ?  There are a number of resources and other reports, posted at my alternative MySpace profile

 Justice Is Homeless

Not to be out done by San Francisco.  It was
estimated that they saved over 70% of the
General Assistance, after criminalizing the
homeless.  Of which amounted to millions of
dollars and that is not counting other
services. Such as health care ...... savings.
As in "all about the money".

Reference stories are given below to back up
everything that I state above.  Please pay
special attention to this statement;

The San Francisco Chronicle newspaper ran a
story that stated, "general assistance rolls
for the homeless have been slashed by 73

Not that "criminalizing the homeless could be "all about the money"?  Ya thinks .... da.

Of which forced other cities to pass laws
against homelessness to divert the onslaught of
those fleeing places like San Francisco and
Sonoma County.  This is explained in a Press
Democrat article, cited in the reference section
below.  With excerpts on the how and why Ukiah
was overwhelmed with homeless from San Francisco,
Santa Rosa and Sonoma County. So the city of  Ukiah
had to criminalize the homeless, to get rid of "them" .
And you could be next.

Now in reference, let me educate you with
press democrat newspaper articles, as to
why you should vote for them:

Hello.  Could someone tell me why I am not allowed to comment on this story?  I have tried twice and been told that my entry activated the "spam filter."  What is up?

Good story that needs to be told, SFHomeless!

Mary, without any action on our part it looks your comments posted okay.

NowPublic.com may have some spam filter system that we are not fully aware of.    It could be that your IP Address for the computer you are on is at a library which may have been the source of a lot of spam or something like that.

As far as we know,  when your posting is rejected and you get that message about possible spam,  you have to remember to go to the bottom of the page and you should see a CAPTCHA thing which will help you get your comments posted.

We appreciate your comments.

Too many city and state and federal leaders just do not ‘get it’.  Today’s housed and employed people can literally become tomorrow’s homeless in any city, in any nation.

Until we can stop the current status quo and insist that our people are all taken care of, the state of our city and country will get much worse.

Too many leaders come from rich, elite backgrounds who have no true measure of compassion and are too aligned with outside financial interests and special interest groups to STAND UP and do WHAT IT RIGHT.

Thanks again for your comments.

Please contact your local and state politicians and tell them that it’s time to put our people FIRST and start putting our money on preventive measures that keep us safe and expand every community’s shelter and housing and health services to rise up to the challenge of the exponentially increasing numbers of Americans who are being wiped out the bad old policies of these greedy corporate and financial interests who serve money instead of serving the best interests of mankind or their community, first.
