The British used to famous for their crooked teeth but through the 80s and 90s the NHS dental service turned that around with lots of kids getting free orthodentic treatment of the highest quality. The government have knocked much of that treatment on the head with the caveat that kids can only get such freetreatment if the teeth shape etc causes a medical problem and of course most doesn't just looks not very attractive. This and the fact that many citizens can't even get registered with an NHS dentist sees many people having to pay for their dental treatment and its expensive. Here we see Hungarian dentists bringing an inflatable surgery to Britain and touring offering a cut price service and inviting patients to go to Hungary as medical tourists - the prices being much cheaper there.

An inflatable dental surgery staffed by Hungarian dentists is to offer treatment around Britain from tomorrow.

The £25,000 mobile surgery will provide consultations and X-rays to patients in London, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow.

The promotional tour is intended to drum up business for dental tourism in Hungary, which, along with other east European countries, has become a popular destination for Britons seeking cheaper treatment.

Major dental work, such as dental implants, costs on average £700 in Hungary - between half and one third of the price in the UK.
