Joshua Littman Storycorps Interview
Autistic 12-year-Old Interviews His Mom
12-year-old Joshua Littman interviewed his mother for Storycorps, and the resulting piece became Storycorps' first animated feature.
Joshua Littman has Asperger's Syndrome, and his "lack of a social gene" actually makes him a killer interviewer. Joshua opens with a few easy questions for his mom about snakes and bugs, before drilling down with "Have you ever lied to me?"
It's a fascinating ear to the door on a conversation that is almost never spoken aloud. Joshua's situation has forced his mom to deal with parenting in a way that's far removed from the image of parenthood with which we grow up.

No closed captioning! I would love to read that cartoon, but it has no texting for that video. I am a profound deafness. I felt helpless for not knowing for what their conversation is all about. I am so sad.
