You take medicine to make yourself feel better. Is it OK because it's legal and everyone else does it? Or is it because your doctor told you so? Do you ever think about the consequences of taking medicine? All medicines have side effects; do you ever read them? Most of the time you don't NEED medicine but you take them anyway. Why is this? Do you ever question why you take medicine? Do you think it does no harm; they don't have long term effects? But they make you feel better now and all you care about is getting rid of a sniffle that will go away naturally anyway and probably could have been prevented with proper diet and excercise. Why do you take medicine?

My sister is a teaching M.D. who specialized in internal medicine and also pediatrics.
She told me that doctor's prescribe medicines, like the drugs to lower cholesterol, because they don't believe the patients will make lifestyle changes like dietary and exercise. And also a psychiatrist friend told me that some insurance companies actually will not pay for patient visits unless the doctor prescribes medication.....can you believe that?
Doctors not being reimbursed because they do not prescribe medication?
Healthcare in the USA is controlled by Big Pharma....they are more powerful than the government.
