33,000 cases of cookies as well as 7 million cases of peanut butter sandwich crackers have been recalled by Kelloggs as it warns of the products possibly being tainted by salmonella poisoning.

The peanut butter paste Kelloggs use which has sparked fears is produced by Peanut Corp. of America, who are already under investigation by the US centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

U.S. health officials said yesterday that peanut butter tainted with salmonella sickened 453 people and may have caused five deaths. The outbreak has spread to 43 states and Canada since mid-September.

The effects of salmonella include fever, muscle aches, shivering and feeling exhausted.

after just having this same illness this weekend, I thought it would be appropiate to highlight as it's awful.

There are new recalls today...including products send to Haiti and other countries. It isn't only a Kellogg's problem now.
