Kroger Has Issued a Recall For Containers of Deluxe Chocolate Paradise Ice Cream Sold in 17 States

The product may contain tree nuts, which is not listed in the ingredients, and for anyone allergic to tree nuts, consuming this flavor of ice cream may cause them to have a serious allergic reaction.

According to a release posted on their website, Kroger states that the product was sold in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

In Illinois and Indiana, the recall also includes Kroger stores operating under Jay C, Food 4 Less, Hilander, Owen's, Pay Less and Scott's stores.

The affected product has a UPC of 11110 50712, and is sold in 48-ounce containers with a sell-by date of January 24 2011.
