Lady Gaga Reveals Struggle with Bulimia and Anorexia
She tweeted for fans to join "A BODY REVOLUTION" while the caption on her smile-less photo read "Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15."
Recently, the style maverick talked with radio host Elvis Duran about her weight gain. She admitted, "I'm dieting right now because I gained, like, 25 pounds. I really don't feel bad about it, not even for a second. I have to be on such a strict diet constantly. It's hard because it's a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don't like that. So I'm trying to find a new balance."
Prior to the admission, Gaga tweeted support of a fan battling an eating disorder. Earlier today she tweeted, "Emily Rose recovering from anorexia. We support your bravery and have compassion for your pain."
She’s never been one for anything sacred, and Lady Gaga made it known that she’s disgusted by Pope Benedict XVI’s conservative view on gay marriage.
Last week, the Pope declared that “marriage and the family are institutions that must be promoted and defended from every possible misrepresentation of their true nature, since whatever is injurious to them is injurious to society itself,” in response to France’s plans to legalize same-sex marriage.
And that’s all it took for Gaga to voice her own opinion while chatting with French radio station Europe 1 a few days later.
She began, “I think that gay marriage is going to happen. It must. We are not actually equal — humanity — if we are not allowed to freely love one another.”
“What the Pope thinks of being gay does not matter to the world. It matters to the people who like the Pope and follow the Pope… It is not a reflection of all religious people.”
