Lauren Johnson: Girl Sneezes 12,000 Times a Day: Video
Lauren Johnson is only 12-years-old, but when she got a cold two weeks ago, she hasn't been able to stop sneezing and doctors can't figure out what is wrong with her. She sneezes roughly about 16 times a minute or about 12,000 times a day; she can't go to school and only leaves her house now when she goes to see specialists.
She only stops sneezing when she is exhausted enough to fall asleep.
CNN did a report on Lauren Johnson
She now does her homework at home and teachers come to her house so that she can try and keep up.
"I don't feel a tickle in my nose; (it's) just kind of constant, I don't really notice it that often anymore," she told the Post. "It just kind of comes out."
No one seems to know what is wrong with Lauren exactly. It could be an extremely rare medical condition and although doctors say Lauren is a healthy young girl, she may have to have therapy of hypnosis to cure her.
One doctor did say that she might have 'machine gun sneezing' that is triggered by allergies or abnormal growths. But what exactly it is remains to be seen.

She isn't sneezing at all. If you watch the video she doesn't close her eyes when she 'sneezes' when everyone knows that it is impossoble to keep your eyes open when you sneeze. The noise is coming from her mouth not nose ( think donald duck) so i am thinking attention seeking which has now become a habit or as someone suggested a tic. It is not a genuine sneeze just a silly noise so a mild form of tourettes is a possibility or she just wants fame and attention and this is how she gets it

that is really quite ridiculous! The mother was crying and I'm sure it is VERYY frustrating to keep such an act up and I'm also very sure that the doctors know it when it's just a farce, they're not specialists for no reason...and in the video the narrator also told it's not REALLY a SNEEZE, so your conclusion is a bit of a repetition. Just a thought...

Hi! I see that she has a lot of animals in her home. She dont have to be allergic but she can have a hypersensivitiv mucosa. Try another home for some days without animals, flowers, parfumery and hair spray.
