The LDS General Conference 2010 Takes Place April 3 to 4 in Salt Lake City Utah

The LDS General Conference takes place this Easter weekend and this semi-annual conference draws about 100,000 people from around the world. Millions of people tune in online on watch the conference on television.

BYU TV broadcasts a live stream of it on their website as well.

The conference is also televised on on KSL Channel 5 and broadcast on KSL Newsradio on 102.7 FM and 1160 AM. If you miss any of the broadcasts, the conference will be rebroadcast on Sunday and Monday morning so you can catch up.

Schedule for the LDS General Conference 2010

On both April 3 and 4, the morning sessions for the conference take place from 10am to 12pm and the afternoon sessions take place from 2pm to 4pm.

About 40 people will speak during the two day conference including Thomas S. Monson and Boyd K. Packer.

Thomas S. Monson

The current head of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Monson opened the conference on Saturday April 3rd. Monson was just 36 when he was appointed an apostle and was previously the President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles before becoming President of the LDS Church. He became President on February 3 2008.

Boyd K. Packer

Mr. Packer is currently the President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles after Mr. Monson moved on from the post. Before he was Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. He is the second ranked most senior apostle, while Mr. Monson is the first.
