Listeria Warning: Classic Wild Sockeye Lox Trim

The CFIA in conjunction with Classic Smokehouse(2003) Inc. are issuing a recall notice for Classic Wild Sockeye Lox Trim because of the possible contamination by Listeria bacteria. Description follows:

The affected product, Classic Canadian Wild Sockeye Lox Trim, was sold in 454g vacuum packages bearing UPC 3000550008256 and PACKED ON dates from MA 02 (May 2, 2009) to JL 28 (July 28, 2009) inclusive.

The Classic Canadian Wild Sockeye Lox Trim packages have been sold in B.C. No reports of illness have been received. Consumption of food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may cause illness ranging in severity from mild discomfort to death.

If you have purchased Classic Canadian Wild Sockeye Lox Trim as described above do not consume it. Contact the vendor where you purchased it.
