Fountain of youth, anyone? In ages, people are always in the lookout for that springwell of eternal youth or immortality.  But can this really be possible? Can it really be solved by cutting out our calorie intake as this research would suggest? Find out -

ScienceDaily (July 6, 2008) — Want to slow the signs of aging and live longer? New Saint Louis University research suggests cutting back on calories could be a promising strategy.

Calorie restriction has long been shown to slow the aging process in rats and mice. While scientists do not know how calorie restriction affects the aging process in rodents, one popular hypothesis is that it slows aging by decreasing a thyroid hormone, triiodothyronine (T3), which then slows metabolism and tissue aging.

truthoriented, I like this story. It's good stuff.

I'd say carbohydrates are the main problem, because too much sugar causes hyperinsulinism, and all kinds of painful and aging symptoms.

Here is the transcription of a FAMOUS 1999 lecture given by Ron Rosedale, M.D.
