Surgeons in Russia originally understood that they were going to remove a cancerous tumour from a 28 year old patient. Remarkably, they instead discovered a 5-centimeter mini tree growing inside his lung. This incredible event occured in Russia’s Urals region, as doctors were operating on Artyom Sidorkin.
It is believed that the Doctors suspected Sidorkin had cancer, as he complained of extreme pain in his chest and after he coughed up blood.
Doctors proceeded to x-ray his chest and found a tumor in one of the lungs. Suspecting cancer, they made a decision to perform a biopsy, but when they cut the tissue, they were amazed to see green needles [pking through the cut.
Doctors believe Sidorkin somehow inhaled a seed, which later amazingly sprouted and grew inside his lung.
The spruce, which was touching the man's capillaries and naturally caused severe pain, was eventually removed. Meanwhile, the piece of lung with the little fir tree has been preserved for further study.
