Pipes in homes contain unhealthy amounts of lead to drink, hot more likely than cold water. It is widely believed that boiling water removes the lead. Scientists warn it is quite the contrary, it increases its concentration.
Older homes are more likely to have lead pipes.

I wasn't sure what was newsworthy in this story; the lead danger has been documented for at least 25 years.
