Don't get TOO excited yet, but it is apparent that the tap water in Vancouver has been effected by the huge volume of precipitation in our region lately.  It's cloudy, but no concern is being evidenced by Environment Canada. It's fine, but may not be as pretty as we'd like:
Dr. Patricia Daly, the chief medical health officer for Vancouver Coastal Health, told CBC news that as of Wednesday morning, the turbidity level at the Seymour reservoir is at 33 NTUs, but no boil-water advisory has been issued yet.

At Costco, everyone I saw had a flat of water of some kind with them (big bottles, little bottles and even San Pellegrino is flying off the shelves). Maybe a couple bottles in the cupboard 'just in case' wouldn't hurt.

Stay tuned, but don't freak out if the water in your toilet is a little murkey.
