New scare Over China Milk Products Melamine Again
In spite of the government of China declaring the melamine in the milk scare to be over a new scare over China milk products seems to be emerging. Stores in Guizhou Province were found to be selling milk products contaminated with melamine.
In the latest alert, authorities said more than a dozen stores in southern Guizhou province were found to be selling contaminated products.
Officials said the products may have been recalled after the earlier scandal but had found their way back on to the market.
While officials assert that the melamine laced milk products are from the previous scare which killed and sicken children throughout China, the production dates show that the contaminated product was prepared after the government declared the melamine scandal over.
Melamine contains high amounts of nitrogen which can fool tests for protein content. Melamine is used in the production of plastics and fertilizers. It's a cheap way to fake testing. Milk can be watered down and still show that it is high in protein.
When humans consume melamine, they suffer kidney damage which may lead to death.
Despite the bankruptcy of Sanlu and the prosecution and death sentences meted out to dairy executives, it looks as if cheaters in the Chinese dairy industry are putting children's lives at risk again.

Wow! Thanks again Barbara! There's just too much of this tainted stuff emanating from China!
Someone needs to tell the Chinese Government to clean up it's act and stop poisoning its citizens and people throughout the world.

All this hype about China, the rising giant. They're basing their growth on a grossly less efficient copy of the method Japan used to rise to power in a time where the world is stalling, unlike Japan's rise that took place during the booms of the 50's, 60's and 70's. And we've seen the end result for Japan. 15 years of downward drift. On top of all this, Japan was never so morally bankrupt as to try and dump polluted products on its customers. Call it spiteful, wishful thinking if you must, but I don't see a future of roses for China in the near or long term. If they want to succeed they need to break up into the 15 nations they truly are and develop some decent inter-trade and growth.
