Finally, I got to try the Zhajiangmian which I had always see people gobbling in big mouthfuls in Korean dramas. It doesn't seem easily avaliable at eateries along the streets though. Bought this from a Chinese stall in an air-conditioned food court in Doosan Tower at Dongdaemun. It is actually the Korean version of the famous Chinese noodles. Pretty plain. Just noodle with onions in black sauce. The sauce tastes like the gravy for the Chinese Char Siew rice. Though it is really very different from the original one, I would say that the taste is not too bad and the noodles is quite chewy too. The texture is somewhat similar to that of spaghetti. Would be great it you order a plate of meal separately to go with it.
Updated 20 Feb 2008: What a pity that Dongdaemun is recently destroyed by the fire.
