Old Style Brand Pastrami May Contain Listeria:Add Six More Meats

Saturday the CFIA issued a health hazard alert for Old Style Brand Pastrami because of possible contamination by the Listeria bacterium.  The Best Before Date is January 15, 2009.  Lot #09Ja15

This product was distributed in Ontario by Mariposa Meats of Mississauga, Ontario.  No illnesses connected to this product have been reported.  If you have this product in your fridge, do not eat it.  Return it to where you purchased it.  A Listeria infection may cause serious illness, especially to those with vulnerable immune systems.

UPDATE:  Two more products of Mariposa Meats have been added to the recall list.

All the meat products have been distributed in Ontario, Canada.  For more detailed information, look at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
