Fruit is both good and good for you. That doesn't seem to happen very often.

I've lately realized the importance of raw fruits and vegetables in my diet. While I don't think I'm going to go on a completely raw food diet, I have been making a good effort to increase my intake of them. For fruit, I've mostly been eating bananas and oranges, but I also add an occasional pear or mango.

I've mostly focused on replacing my usual breakfast cereal with fresh fruit and then adding a piece of fruit or two to my meals in addition to having a salad for lunch at work. So far it has been pretty good and I've even tried a couple of things that I've never had before, like okra. The way I see it, it's important to try new things (especially foods) because you could go through your whole life without realizing that you absolutely love something. And why would you want to do that to yourself?

To light this photo I used two Vivitar 285HV strobes fired with PocketWizard Plus II transceivers. One strobe was bounced off a white umbrella on the right in front, and the other was behind the fruit to the left, directly aimed at the fruit. They are sitting on a glossy coffee table.
