(NASDAQ: OSIR), today announced that it has received International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485:2003 Certification, an internationally recognized quality standard designed to ensure that medical device manufacturers have the required quality systems in place. This certificate of conformance applies to Osiris Therapeutics’ facility in Columbia, Maryland.

ISO 13485:2003 specifies the requirements for a quality management system that an organization needs to demonstrate in order to provide medical devices and related services. This helps to ensure that manufacturers consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements applicable to medical devices and related services.
