President's Choice Pistachios May Contain Salmonella
A major recall of pistachio nuts is due to possible Salmonella contamination. Loblaws Brand Ltd in conjunction with the CIFA has issued an alert for pistachio nut products that have been distributed across Canada. The nuts were sourced from Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella in the US and have been the subject of a wide recall there.

This lastest nut scare comes closely upon the major peanut and peanut products recalls because of Salmonella contamination.
FDA says, Avoid Pistachios, Salmonella Scare Updated
Update: April 4/09
The CFIA has broadened the recall to include 1.Corrado's vaious brands of nuts and confections
2.Harry and David products and a wide variety of 3.Setton Farms products. This is starting to look like the peanut scandal.

This story should be updated..it's as huge as the peanut recall. I am getting at least 4 recall notices a day about the recalled Pistachios.
