Product Recall Notice on Pear Juice
President's Choice is recalling some pear juice with the warning that because it might contain arsenic, it might be unsafe for "toddlers".
I always wonder how arsenic & poisons generally gets into food, etc during the manufacturing process. Is it a workflow issue? "Hey - this keeps happening. Maybe we should put the giant tank of arsenic somewhere else."
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Loblaws Inc. are warning the public not to consume certain pear juices for toddlers because these products may be contaminated with arsenic.
