With a background as a guitarist/arranger/artist/ and general blah-blah,
I was deeply taken by the efforts of the folks over at Texas Children's
Hospital and the Purple Songs Can Fly Project. So I decided to give
them kudos on my Blog as I feel great things like this are meant to

My first two associations with the word 'Purple' were usually with Royalty and Gaiety (new term I'm trying out to describe non-hetero status) but now I like this from About.com via Google :
