At the Special Olympics this year, several of my daughter's classmates challenged their new principal to an impromptu race... When I saw him take of his socks & shoes & tie his tie around his head, I knew he was a good egg! And a good sport as well, when he lost.

I've edited this photo as a motion shot to protect the identities of the children... but it was such a fun moment, I had to share. (You'll note that one of the runners is wearing his lucky popcorn bag on his head.)

For anyone who has never attended the Special Olympics, I highly recommend volunteering... few moments in life are as rewarding as sharing the sense of success, normalcy, & victory with children who put most of us to shame with the efforts they put forth to achieve what we take for granted every day...
