RaceORama Cars Dinner Plates Have Lead & Cadmium in Glaze
Enesco Canada in cooperation with Health Canada are recalling RaceORama Cars dinner plates because of the high levels of lead and cadmium in their colourful glazes. Food placed on these dinner plates can dissolve the lead and cadmium and be ingested with the food. A full product description follows.
This recall involves RaceORama Cars glazed dinner plates, distributed by Enesco Canada. The recalled plate has images of Cars and the words "RaceORama" and "Thunder After Lightning" written on the plate. This plate can be identified by item number MF2534 and UPC 065992386716.
Hazard: Levels of lead and cadmium have been found in the RaceORama dinner plates that are in excess of allowable limits. Both lead and cadmium are poisonous heavy metals that can accumulate in the body. Children are especially susceptible to poisoning and kidney damage from these toxic materials.
Fix: Most of the plates were sold through Zeller's Stores across Canada. You should return the toxic plates to the vendor where you bought them or contact Enesco Canada directly at 1 800 263 7095
