Riding for Myositis & For Those Who Can't (myositis conference 2008_0001_steve morris.wmv)

Steve Morris, a California school teacher who has Myositis, a a muscle disease, often disabling and with no known cure, rode his motorcyle 2,000 miles to raise funds for the Myositis Ass'n (TMA) and increase awareness of Myositis. The video captures some poignant moments from his trip and features some myositis patients he met along the way. It's a moving video that emphasizes the need to raise awareness and find a cure for Myositis.
We hope this inspires you to go that "extra mile" in search of a cure.

Thanks, Rita for uploading the video.  We actually rode 4,500 miles.  In two years, we have ridden 8,000 miles in two countries and in over 10 states.  In that time, we have collected close to $25,000 for The Myositis Association.  If you would like more information, you can go to www.riding4thosewhocant.org .  Thanks again, Rita for all you did for us in Canada!

Wonderful  and I applaud you on your mammoth ride i hope and pray you will get the word out about myositis. I know how difficult it is for people to understand, I myself got Pm/Dm in 1984 and was in the wilderness for many years. I was on and off steroids for many years and it was after i caught E.Coli and was admitted to hospital the consultant who took care of me had a special interest in  Auto immune disorders and finally treated me with CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE and after 1st infusion my rashes stopped after 2 more I had my life back, I am now 79 and apart from wasted proximal muscle damage I have a slight problem with steps but i am well and i pray that people will find the right treatment and get well  With my best wishes to you .
