Rob Williams and Arnie States, two radio hosts from KRXQ 98.5 FM radio in Sacramento hosted a segment of their show 'Rob, Arnie, & Dawn in the morning' on May 28th all about transgender children, with a specific focus on the case of an Omaha family raising a gender dysphoric child, and who are supporting her decision to transition from male to female. In this show, they encouraged abuse against all transgender children.

Williams and States took turns referring to gender dysphoric children as "idiots" and "freaks," who were just out "for attention" and had "a mental disorder that just needs to somehow be gotten out of them," either by verbal abuse on the part of the parents, or even shock therapy.

"Allowing transgenders to exist, pretty soon it becomes normal to fall in love with the animals," they said.

Radio Comments About Transgenders Defended

States said that if his son ever put on heels, then he would beat him with the shoes, and said that if any parents have a son who wants to wear a dress, then they should verbally abuse them and degrade them.

"I'm going to go, 'You know what? You're a little idiot! You little dumbass!'" States sneered, adding later, "I look forward to when [the transgender children] go out into society and society beats them down. And they wind up in therapy."

There have already been a few cases this year of boys taking their own lives for 'acting gay' and being relentlessly tormented for it. Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover was one of the boys who hung himself after months of being bullied for 'being gay'.

"I'm not open-minded once I look into sumpin'" one of the two men grunted at the beginning of the segment, their voices interchangeable. "I have every right to call you a freak and judge you on that. It makes me sick. 'Mommy, I'm a girl trapped in a boy's body,'" he simpered, mimicking an effeminate little boy. "I want to wear a dwess."

Co-host Dawn Rossi, did seem genuinely horrified by what was happening, but Williams and States berated her.

"You're actually defending allowing people to become freaks?" they seethed. "A boy who wants to wear a dress is a freak. A nut."

Both States and Williams claimed that 'transgenders did not exist four years ago', which is historically inaccurate.

"If the kid ever gets to be eighteen," States snarled, "and says 'I still feel like a woman!' you say, 'Get out! Go be a freak! And understand, SON, that society will neveraccept you because we still have some moral judgment."

Both Rob Williams and Arnie States said today that it was just a joke and that they would never advocate violence against children in real life.

"I think it's ridiculous to even think that I'm advocating some violence against kids there," States said on the air."I know a lot of people don't understand this," he said a moment later. "That's a joke."The DJs added that regular listeners to their show know that they make jokes about a variety of topics, offending lots people in the process.

I agree with Rhonda. This is beyond the pale — both shocking, horrific, and outrageous.

Those radio "personalities" are simply very, very bad, caught up by their indifference to people's feelings in order to appear hard and funny.

I'm almost at a loss for words, Amy. Rob Williams and Arnie States comments demonstrate complete ignorance on the subject of transgendered children. Thanks for posting this.

Certainly this is ignorance.   Cases such as this get more attention tho. Those people should be fired.   (or tarred and feathered...no excuse for that..don't they get some kind of education in ethics for their business?

I say tho  if we could hear the verbal abuse that (statistcally I can't know) many, many  children endure from parents from addictive and emotionally abusive homes.  There are fathers in sports that verbally berate and abuse their sons in front of their friends concerning their dropping the ball etc.  This is just as damaging.  One would think if a father was abused he would not do the same (mothers too) but they always do.  It may be by freaking over silly issues of dress, friends etc. but they are still "bad" parents.  The children develop low self esteem, develop shyness, poor grades.  Verbal abuse is more difficult to diagnose for the children are  usually compensated with "toys" etc.  Outside the neighbors think it is  the perfect family but when that door shuts the parent's mask comes off and it is like the movie  "Santini" ..children are not allowed feelings...and do not feel love but criticism. Another example and one of the most painful to watch is This Boy's Life with Leonardo Di Caprio, Robert De Niro and Ellen Barkin.  Fathers and mothers that carry unresolved and felt  childhood pain can be devils to their children without showing bruises.

Our world has a long way to go to help all children .  The ones with the visible scars can be helped with surgery but never without serious primal therapy to get the wounds out.  They develop all kinds of defenses to keep their pain repressed.

A most horrific bully in this but bullies run countries ....schools..... and businesses.  God help the child if   t he father is a bastard. in the home then has   to go out  to the streets where the "somewhat" teen teasing taunts differences can hardly be stood up to if the parent themself was a bully.  Where do they get help?

Hum, Tasteless and horrible jokes, that could be considered Promoting violence and abuse.

Some thing no responsible adult in their right mind should ever do, say not even think.

Why should they be fired? Is it because they have an opinion different than ours? personally I disagree with everything they've said, but I don't happen to be one of those blood thirsty sorts which want to those who I disagree with then fail.

I find it quite disgusting at how uncivil we're being. Usually in cases such as this we are the ones who must go beyond their level and take the higher road. Instead, they still look like asses and now we look like we're intolerant to those who so intently believe in the Freedom of Speech.

I'm bisexual and have been dating a TG girl for a while now. We both disagree with Rob Williams and Arnie States, but it's neither of our business to harass them for their opinion. The only difference between us and them is that we believe our opinion to be right. Please, look inwards before you start attacking others. What does attacking them bring you? Nothing but a smirk and a sense of vengeance.

Congratulations, we're just like THEM.

This is stupid that the gay community is so ignorant! This is America and they were stating there opinion on what they believe on transgender! That's why we live in this country cause its are right to say what we want! Don't like it change the channel! The gays try anyway to force there cause but if you have a opinion againts them they accuse you of a bigget! There death threats and nasty letters makes it worse for there cause and makes more people stand againts them!and on the child abuse stuation stated by arnie states was a joke being the fact that they raise millions each year for the CHILDRENS HOSPITAL! So who ever wrote this page needs to get there facts straight!

John Gacy loved to dress as a clown and entertain at children's birthday parties too.  He was obviously also a great guy.

They should be fired because they advocated physical and emotional VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN.  They did not just state their opinions, they encouraged others to hurt kids.  They should not only be fired they should be arrested and tried.

I agree with Alan Stevens.  I'm a man and I love a man.  As gay people, why are we so immature with this ranting and raving.  I'll bet less than 1% even listen to the show.

I think people are missing the point of free speech.. they are free to say it and we ALSO are free to disagree with it!

However i would say that inciting violence is normally the point at which free speech is restricted. That child abuse was advocated and gained support worries me a lot.

re@ sacramento ca: i havent heard of any death threats but obviously any would be wrong. However listening to the audio it is clearly not a joke as shown by Dawns disagreement. Even if it was i wouldnt say threatening vulnerable children is rip roaring hilarity myself... and the fact that they raise money for children i'm sure they would deem 'not freaks' doesnt take away what they did.

If one parent follows that advice they have contributed to a horrible thing.

They can say what they want.

Hateful people use incendiary speech like this with the intent to provoke a violent reaction. It is really no different than Fred Phelps and his supporters; they are crossing the line, speaking so audaciously that people will instinctively react angrily.

They're no different from grade-school bullies who call the different kids names. If you ignore them, trivialize them, pretend they do not exist, they will cease to be relevant and disappear. They know very well that their own popularity depends on their infamy. If we just roll our eyes and yawn when they make a verbal ass of themselves, they will soon lose interest and move onto the next sensational talking point to try and annoy people with.

It was a joke?!? If that is an example of their sense of humor what kind of a bigoted jerk is their target audience?!?

That is about as funny as a heart attack.
