The Miley Cyrus bong-hit video has had the predicted effect: measurable sales of salvia divinorum have spiked. Salvia, which is currently legal in most US states, was the substance that Miley Cyrus is supposedly smoking in a video shot during celebrations for her 18th birthday.

As anecdotal proof that sales were driven by Miley Cyrus herself (rather than ancillary web searches of salvia divinorum), potential customers have been showing up at head shops and asking for "the stuff Miley was smoking": in other words, they didn't know what it was called.

No ... mentioning Miley did not get them a discount.

While Miley's experimentation is generating curiosity in the hallucinogen -- one smoke shop employee tells us, "Salvia is one of those things that you only try once because it is so intense."

Miley's dad, country musician Billy Ray Cyrus is just... disappointed.

Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. Im so sad. There is much beyond my control right now.

Meanwhile, Aerosmith frontman (and former Toxic Twin) Steve Tyler is telling Miley Cyrus to just say no to salvia, despite admitting to being unfamiliar with the herb. However, he's a certified expert on drug use, and on quitting said drug use.
He says, "I don't know what that is, I never heard of it. If Miley is smoking that, tell her to call me."

Some people is attacking the girl who filmed Miley and she had to delate her Twitter account. Well, I dont really blame the girl who video tape Miley because that was Miley's fault. Her Hannah Montana show is lame and her singing isnt even very good. I dont know why shes so popular.
