Sarah Palin To Get Into Reality TV

Former Republican VP nominee and Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin is reported to be getting her own reality TV show with a work title Sarah Palin's Alaska. Palin has apparently pitched the show idea herself. A&E Networks and Discovery Communications are reportedly in negotiations with Palin for a deal to have her be part of a reality show focusing on life in Alaska. Mark Burnett, a producer behind such hit TV series as Survivor and The Apprentice, is believed to be the executive producer of Palin's project.

However, it is rumoured that Palin is asking for as much as $1.5 million per episode of the show. In comparison, the protagonists of arguably one of the most talked about reality shows in recent TV history Jon & Kate Plus 8 made up to $75,000 per episode, according to CNN.

Will Levi Be In It?

Now, everyone is also wondering if Palin's son-in-law Levi Johnston is going to be on her  show. Johnston, who by the way is also a native of Alaska, has publicly thrown dirt at Palin after a messy breakup with Palin's daughter Bristol in March 2009. Johnston claimed Palin wanted to keep her daughter's pregnancy a secret during the 2008 Presidential campaign and resigned from her post of Alaska Governor to get more attention for her book. Johnston now works as an actor and model. So, what better talent material to look for?

Palin's Public Presence

Sarah Palin's work has been pretty noticeable in the public eye in recent months. In November 2009, Palin published her memoir Going Rogue: An American Life, selling 700,000 copies in the first week of sales. Palin also signed up to be a contributor on FOX News in January.
