The Victor Hugo International Music Festival is currently running in Guernsey and I was asked to be the official festival photographer, so I have spent a good deal of time photographing musicians and dancers over the past week. It's all been low-available-light work, so the 5D with the trusty 70-200 f/2.8 IS have been invaluable. For this shot I bumped the ISO to 1600 and added the 2X convertor limiting me to f/5.6 and 1/40 sec. Not bad, had-held at 340mm!

This is a member of the South Bank Sinfonia, who performed the opening concert of the classical part of the festival.

One of the violinists of the South Bank Sinfonia. Taken during their rehearsal for the Northern Trust sponsored opening classical concert of the Victor Hugo International Music Festival held in Guernsey (18-27 Sept 2008).
