Science Proves Exotic Cars Turn Women On

David Moxon subjected 40 men and women to the sounds of a Maserati, Lamborghini and Ferrari, then measured the amount of testosterone in their saliva. He found everyone had higher levels of the stuff -- a measure of their arousal -- after hearing the revving exotics, but the amount the women had was off the charts.
How the test was conducted:
To test the theory that high-performance cars get people hot, Moxon had 40 men and women listen to recordings of the three Italian exotics and a Volkswagen Polo. Everyone had significantly more testosterone after hearing the exotics, and all of the women were turned on by the Maserati. The guys, on the other hand, were drawn to the Lamborghini.
“We saw significant peaks in the amount of testosterone in the body, particularly in women," Maxon says, noting that even women who said they had no interest in cars were turned on. "Testosterone is indicative of positive arousal in the human body so we can confidently conclude from the results out today that the roar of a luxury car engine actually does cause a primeval physiological response.”
I say we all get out there and buy the ultimate chick (sorry if im politically incorrect) magnet, a Maserati.
I wonder if they put a Maserati engine inside a Corolla (nothing against Corolla, but its no Maserati) and conduct another test, if the woman would still get turned on by the car. I think it goes hand in hand. The looks of a car has to match the engine. Nonetheless, the roar of an engine arouses the male and the female.

A Ferrari and a Lamborghini - it doesn't get much more exotic than that. How many tax dollars did this cost? Maybe I can get some grant money to study if women with small waists and large breasts increase testosterone in men? How about HUGE piles of cash? A 20,000 sf house on the water? Maybe (for some) an enourmouse pile of cocaine. DUH!

15.30u. The racecars are in top condition and ready to participate in the 2008 24h race of Spa-Francorchamps. The most beautiful racetrack a (sports)car can race on!
As for most of the races, Beautifull women are hired by the raceteams to attract the attention of the spectators and journalist so the sponsors (should) get enough attention.

i was in London England eating in a restraunt when this Ferrari F430 and a red Lamborghini Murcialago drove by. they came around again and parked so i got some sweet pics.

Never heard of this before rather interesting, but somebody should let those guys in their Corsa/Saxo/206's etc know that their car doesn't have the same effect, and adding a soup can too the exhaust(muffler) doesn't enhance the sound. =]

When you look in the passenger seat of any exotic car driving around town you almost always see a gorgeous woman. Sure the driver has money and sometimes looks but you got to think the car itself has some allure for her.

I like to shoot very close and focus on the curves and great lines these come easy on this car, but I think that any car has possibly if shot right.

Thanks for asking to use a few of the pictures on my Flickr. The pictures were taken by Ryan who regularly meets at one of the local city parks with other car enthusiasts...as luck would have it this particular night some of the exotic car owners were there and he was able to get some great shots that he was kind enough to share with me
Interesting article...interesting findings but I don't think it's only about the car... most not all, of these cars are owned by older men am sure also it has a lot to do also with the possibilities of fame...status...money...
The sound of a revving engine sure that gets my adrenaline going...you can't help but think fast...speed...racing. But sure am not going to choose someone over another just because they own a Ferrari/Lamborghini or something similar
Exotic cars = expensive prescription of Viagra

I'm not sure about the scientific evidence, but whenever the Concours comes to Carmel, there are a lot of women and men around to look at the cars. I will say one thing though, a woman sure looks better in a Lamorghini or a Ferrari than she does in a Chevy or VW.
