Being young and sexually active could turn some college students into becoming old before their time. The chances of becoming infected with sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS/HIV, herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B&C and/or syphilis increase with each encounter without the use of a condom.There are about 19 million students on college campuses in the US and one out of four is transmitting a sexual disease. The number may be even higher as many cases go unreported until serious symptoms appear. The college students that carry the disease infect anyone who has a sexual encounter with them.
