Sexually Transmitted Disease Shared by College Students
Being young and sexually active could turn some college students into becoming old before their time. The chances of becoming infected with sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS/HIV, herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B&C and/or syphilis increase with each encounter without the use of a condom. There are about 19 million students on college campuses in the US and one out of four is transmitting a sexual disease. The number may be even higher as many cases go unreported until serious symptoms appear. The college students that carry the disease infect anyone who has a sexual encounter with them.
