SFU Surrey: Faculty of Obesity?
Simon Fraser University is a well known university and is known to have a wide variety of sports programs, gyms, exercise plans, nutritional info, and teachings of a healthy lifestyle. The Burnaby campus is a well equipped school for students to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But what about SFU Surrey? The Surrey campus is located on one of the 'dirtiest' slums of King George Highway, and is accompanied by a mall. This mall contains a food court a variety of fatty foods to choose from. Aside from this issue, SFU Surrey does not have any gym, or any form of exercise programs. Students spend most of their time in the computer labs and the rest of their times on break at the food court, devouring varieties of unhealthy food. The Surrey campus is known for its faculties of technology, but do we really want our students to turn out as the stereotypical 'computer geeks'? If a gym was to be constructed in SFU Surrey campus, there would be some serious changes in the way people look at SFU Surrey and its students. Students would take more pride in their school and maintain a healthy lifestyle. This should be the first step to changing the way the Surrey campus operates. Once this is done, there would only need to be some minor changes made such as providing a healthier restaurant made just for the students.
SFU Surrey would be a much better place if instead of being a small "part" of SFU, but being more of a "miniature version" of the Burnaby campus.

do you mean 'facility'? I'm not sure what the faculty has to do with your story, and if you do mean faculty I think that is a little insulting,
