My original attempt held back by the theft of my previous camera: we come to our subject a week later.

Having needed some serious spring cleaning, my house was an absolute winter shamble. So much had gone neglected that the giant pecan tree, in the back yard and hanging over the roof, had dropped more than a fair share of its payload and branches onto my roof and into the gutters.

Perhaps it was the gutters which needed to be cleaned the most, for not only were they backed tight enough to form mulched compost, but something truly strange hand begun.

Though the damages which were probably caused by allowing such a thing to be neglected for so long are very real and serious - it was, somehow - I feel, worth the smile and laugh it brought to everyone’s face which saw it.

The "it" in subject is the row of pecan trees which had begun to sprout and grow, in rows, along my cluttered gutters.
- Quirky
:)

I had wanted to get a row shot, which they were still in my gutters but the very same day that my camera was stolen was this very same day.

Not wanting to lose all of the moment and memory - I plucked one of the sprouts and planted him in a glass of water where "it" has grown very nicely (and has even begun to open a few newer leaves).

The kids love it - that we have a pecan tree growing in a cup (bottle now)
