St. John's Brand Fresh Cheese on Recall List

The CFIA has issued a recall alert for St. John's Brand Fresh Cheese that may be contaminated with the Listeria bacterium. This cheese is produced by the Portuguese Cheese Company. While no illnesses have been reported from consuming this product, do not eat it. Return it to where you purchased it.
Below are more details released by the CFIA.
"The affected product, St. John's Brand Fresh Cheese, is sold in a 500 g package bearing UPC 0 68168 00071 3, lot code 147 and Best Before date 09MR09 (March 9, 2009).
The affected product has been distributed in Ontario." Canadian Food Inspection Agency
Listeria can cause serious or life threatening illness.
