Kitty Invader

Stray cats are becoming an epidemic on local avenues in Galloway Township, they are breeding at an alarming rate and in time they will become unstoppable. When I walk out onto my front porch at night I can hear the faint moans of cats coming from dark places and it seems that I am surrounded by them. What makes these felines fatal are the innumerable amount of diseases and parasites that they can carry, just one scratch from a seemingly harmless cat and you could be in the hospital the next day.

We need to put a stop to this growing problem, and the first step is to encourage people to only buy kittens if they are willing to keep them for the entirety of their lives. In my neighborhood there are many college students who think it would be cute to have a kitten running around the house, but when move out time comes no one takes final responsibility of the animal and it just gets set free into the community. This is how the majority of the strays have been introduced to the streets but now that there are so many they are starting to breed and now I can see kittens scurrying around my yard.

At this pace it will not be safe for you to wonder too far from your house at night for fear of being ambushed by a gang of rabid cats. Local dogs are also being reported missing and while there is no supporting evidence, it is my opinion that the cats are targeting these helpless dogs. Everyone knows the longstanding animosity between cats and dogs and it is obvious the cats are starting to eliminate their closest threat and the question now becomes when will they come for us?
