A new study out of the Cork Cancer Research Centre in Detroit says curry  can potentially cure oesophageal cancer. It is believed that curcumin contained in curry is the chemical responsible for killing cancer cells. What is very interesting is that curcumin kills cancer cells within 24 hours. Now that the cancer-killing effect of curcumin has been shown, there will be attempts to use it in therapeutics.

Study conclusion:

Curcumin can induce cell death by a mechanism that is not reliant on apoptosis induction, and thus represents a promising anticancer agent for prevention and treatment of oesophageal cancer.

So, given that curry is good for you, we came up with five delicious dishes for you to cook with curry:

1. Chicken Korma
2. Beef Thali
3. Diwalli Vegetable Curry
4. Curried Chicken Pasta
5. Chiken Jalfrezi

Dr. Gupta on CNN did a program on this not too long ago.  The problem is, like eveything else, this has to be in your daily diet. Love curry, but don't think it will help me.
