Sugar Cleanse Diet: Ellen DeGeneres Talks Sugar Cleanse Craze
The blogosphere is abuzz today with talk about the sugar cleanse, who's doing it, and how it works. Some people have been trying the sugar cleanse diet and writing about their experiences and how they carried out the sugar-free diet. The cleanse essentially involves removing all sugar and sugar products from the everyday diet.
One such individual, Erin Huggins, began the sugar cleanse diet at the beginning of January 2010 as part of a 21 Day Sugar Smackdown effort that removes all forms of sugar from her diet. Huggins documented the process via her blog which deals with topics of health and wellness. She blogged and made a video about her sugar cleanse experience.
During her sugar cleanse, Huggins consumed things like rice pasta, eggs, raw milk, raw cheese, herbal teas, lots of water and lots of vegetables. She found that her new sugar-free diet, combined with regular exercise, was an effective way of getting healthier.
On January 4, 2010, Erin Huggins started a sugar smackdown. It sounds much like a sugar cleanse diet to me. Basically, you eliminate all forms of sugar from your diet including honey and maple syrup for 21 days. You also stop consuming white flour for that period of time and avoid sugar substitutes.
The sugar cleanse seems to have sparked a bit of a craze with Ellen DeGeneres talking about the sugar cleanse diet on her show "Ellen" today. DeGeneres was considering the pros and cons of the sugar cleanse on her show today and later tweeted about the 2010 sugar cleanse craze and side effects from her Twitter account @theEllenShow

I only add sugar to coffee and try to avoid high sugar food, with occasional exceptions.

Im a young early 30's healthy mom of 2 with a loving hubby at home and a part time job - so I am always busy!I have been taking the Dr Max Powers 15 Day Cleanse (no, its not just for men as my dr told me) for approximately 8 days and they have worked wonders with my diet.In the past 3 days I have lost 6 pounds of waste. My appetite is down and I feel great. I'm taking 2 pills a day, 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. There is no stomach cramping, although my stomach has made a couple of growling noises at me..giving me a warning that it is time to go to the bathroom..but other than that..no real problems..I am going to continue using these pills. Looking forward to more waste (weight) loss...hip-hip-hooray!!!
