I LOVE my LG Voyager phone. It's almost perfect. But WHY ON EARTH haven't the LAST TWO PHONES I've gotten been able to properly manage text messages??!! My phone has room for 200 messages. As I approach 200 (and I can do that fairly quickly), I get increasingly urgent reminders until my box is full, at which point I get THIS message, and all new messaged fall into the aether.
ATTENTION MOBILE PHONE UI PROGRAMMERS: PEOPLE! There's a VERY BASIC file management concept called first in first out (FIFO - you've probably also hear of LIFO). Mail comes in, get stored in buffer, and as the buffer runs out, it keeps only as many of the most recent messages as it can still fit in the buffer. NOT HARD!
Instead I'm forced to either delete messages one-by-one or delete the whole inbox in one foul swoop, which is of course what I have to do because while I'm mucking around deleting things I'm MISSING NEW MESSAGES and WASTING MY TIME!!
My other (minor) compaint about the LG Voyager? I LOVE the tactile feedback (tiny vibrations) it gives when you're using the touchscreen. But it should only give tactile feedback when you've actually clicked on something that DOES something (single vibe for action, double vibe for error). If I click on the wrong part of the screen (and miss my button), it still vibrates as if I did something. Kinda defeats the purpose--I MISSED THE BUTTON!
Okay, enough ranting.
