Sunday Late Night Snack

At 10:30PM every Sunday night at the TV station where I work one of our engineers has to go in to do a satellite uplink. Last night was my turn. We didn't really have anything at home that I felt like eating, so I decided to leave a little early and stop by a coffee shop to pick up some coffee and a bite to eat. This coffee shop usually has a delightful snack, the chocolate covered marshmallow square (a.k.a.Rice Krispies™ Treat). When I got to the counter the treat I so longed for was no where to be found. I asked the barista if they were hiding them somewhere, but she said that they haven't had any in a while. Needless to say, I was saddened by this, yet I was still a little hungry. So I decided to settle for an apple fritter, which I must say wasn't really all that good (way too much fritter and not enough apple). The caramel macchiato that I ordered actually hit the spot though, so my "dinner" was not a complete loss. I still am in the mood for some marshmallow squares so I think I will be making some after work this evening.
