Susan Musgrave was born on March 12, 1951 and grew up to be an unconventional Canadian.  She was 'discovered' at age 16 while in a psychiatric unit in Victoria.  According to her biographical data, she had dropped too much acid.  It was 1967.

She has been married to three equally colorful characters over the years.

Susan Musgrave's  book, Of Songs of the Sea Witch, was the first of thirty more in the following years.  Her work encompasses poems, fiction, non-fiction and more.

Susan and her husband divide their time between Vancouver Island and Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands.

Hi Barbara, has something happened to Musgrave - or is this a post to commemorate her birthday?

I was worried - but this is just a birthday commemoration... right?

Pardon my being so obtuse.  Yes, it's just to note an important Canadian's birthday.   I'll change the headline to make it more clear.
