Everyone seems to be affected by the Swine Flu now as it continues to take hold on some communities and countries around the world, and with the death toll consistently rising it can be hard to keep it in perspective just how many have died from Swine Flu.

This map show how many Swine Flu deaths have occured across the world, and breaks it down further in Canada (as the source is the Canadian Press).

Swine Flu has not affected every part of the world equally, and some areas have been harder hit than others. The World Health Organization have declared it a global pandemic, but doctors are saying that with some simple precautions, it can be easier to avoid the flu.

The best way to avoid the flu is to wash your hands, especially if you are about to put them anywhere near your face. If you can`t wash your hands, then use hand sanitizer.

Doctors say that some holiday traditions such as crowded parties or communal candy bowls could potentially contribute to the spread of the H1N1 flu.

But they add that with a little common sense children and parents should be able to avoid any unexpected health scares.

If you are feeling unwell or think you may be developing symptons of flu, it`s best to stay home and get checked out just to make sure. There is also an availability of a vaccine in some areas so that can also be an option for you.
