Swine Flu Not Front-Page Worthy for USA TODAY
Front-page editors at USA TODAY International Edition must be wishing they had picked a different top-of-page teaser to appear on the front-page of their print edition published today. Nowhere was there a mention of the Swine Flu outbreak that has raised concerns in the United States, Mexico and other countries in recent days.
Instead, I found articles about the NFL Draft, the recession and President Barack Obama’s first 100 days. For people thinking of traveling to Mexico or some other exotic destination as journalists, I found a top-of-page teaser photo of a teacher providing a class of aspiring journalists digital film training as part of a Travel Channel initiative.

BMCWrites, why do you think that in the USA TODAY International Edition, "Nowhere was there a mention of the Swine Flu outbreak that has raised concerns in the United States, Mexico and other countries in recent days."

I agree with Roy. Plus, I must clarify: "Nowhere on the front page was there a mention..."

It's front and center for Apr 28 Internat'l edition as I'm seeing it at 10 15 pm CST. So it's not a teaser at the top.....
BTW I recommended this story because of the excellent link to paperboy.com. Thanks, BMC !

So when everyone's screaming about the new panic we're all sick of it but the minute one of them decides to focus on more important news we all criticize....
Swine flu is killing very few people in fact and has less impact than regular flu. there's much more important things going on.
