NP Rank:
Teens warned about excessive salt intake - but 64% don't care.
Time and time again we read reports like this. The info is always the same. The one thing that struck me here though is the fact that 64% of people questioned were 'unconcerned' about their level of salt intake - and that's despite knowing the health risks associated with it (and the vast majority of people would have to be living on another planet to not know, at the very least, that too much salt is bad for you). So I wonder people just don't care about their health? Why don't people value the most precious thing they've been given? Whats the psychology behind that? Have we developed a blase 'it can't happen to me' attitude? or a live fast (food) die young approach? Whatever, its very sad. Chantal Denny-Harrow
