My heart and prayers go out to the family
A Tennessee woman who spent almost all of her life in an iron lung died after a power outage shut down the machine. The woman, Dianne Odell, 61, had been restricted to the machine after contracting polio at age 3. Her brother-in-law, Will Beyer, said family members were unable to start an emergency generator for the iron lung after a power outage at the family’s home near Jackson.
