a toast to summer in the spring

Good gravy was the weather beyond perfect! Greta flew in from Minneapolis (where it was a rain/snow mix all weekend) and we drove to the coast to find this...unseasonably warm temperatures (almost 80!!!) and endless blue skies.

We cracked open a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon which I bought Christmas 2006 when I went to Napa. This is the view from our hotel room in Newport. The wine was delicious, the view was perfection, the company was heaven. It was all wonderfully wonderful!
