Tonight Care To Live member / Late Stage Prostate Cancer patient Ted Girgus to discuss Prostate Cancer and Provenge on Andrew Schorr’s Patient Power
9 PM EDT, 6 PM PDT
Every day I pray that the dysfunctional FDA allows patients with late stage prostate cancer to get access to Provenge. There is nothing for these men. After over 10 years of testing, and great survival results, the FDA delayed this non toxic, non invasive immunotherapy, because instead of prolonging survival in 6,600 Americans from among the 30,000 who will die of prostate cancer each year, Provenge only prolonged survival in 6000 of them.
When is the corrupt FDA going to listen to the suffering of the terminal, and stop playing politics. There is much money at stake and wall street is betting against Provenge, and with the FDA and big pharma all feeding at the same trough, it is going to take a noise from all of us, to take the FDA to task to demand they address these men who are out of hope and running out of time. There is no reason for this except corruption, plain and simple.
CareToLive has a writ in front of the supreme court. We are also being stymied by the FDA for some to the Freedom of Information documents we seek. What are these heartless people hiding?
